Where does your money go? What does it pay for?

Where donations go:
Rent / Utilities / Office supplies / Insurance / Internet / Phone / Community Events

Where donations do NOT go:
Our pockets. GCV is fully volunteer run. NO ONE gets paid.

We are passionately proud of the Fresno LGBT Community Center, the first of it’s kind in nearly 20 years and one of the only brick and mortar community centers in the Central Valley.

In the last three years, your Fresno LGBT Community Center has grown from a tiny office to a fully functional community center. We are a registered Safe Place with the county of Fresno. We are a resource hub to the entire valley. We have an ever growing free lending library.

And we host a variety of programs, events, and groups for the community.

Some examples of what we are able to do with our space…

Holiday Christmas Parties
Spring Fling Health Fairs
Food Bank Facilitation
Transgender FREE Clothing Closet
FREE HIV/HPV Testing
Game Days
Thanksgiving Dinners
Reproductive Rights Seminars
Name / Gender Change Workshops
Same Sex Tax Seminars
Local LGBT Author Book Signings
Movie Nights
Rainbow Delegation
Cultural Competency Trainings

and...

Meeting space for groups such as Trans-e-motion, Fresno Pink Panthers, Imperial Dove Court, Reel Pride Planning Committee, Poly Family Group, CVAAS Business Meetings, TDOR Planning Committee, Fresno Pride Lions, Women’s Chat and Support Group, Teens for Tolerance, Creative Arts Workshop, Undocuqueer Talking Group, Feminist Book Club, Sexual Compulsive Support, Weight Loss Support, etc.

In order to continue offering a FREE space for local LGBT groups to use, we need monthly donors.

We need monthly donors to keep our doors open. We need monthly donors to keep our after-hours phone line running. We need monthly donors to allos us to continue the projects that serve, educate, and connect the local LGBT community.

We are more than a place… we are a community center, and we need community members like you to help us continue our work.
