Internship Program

Gay Central Valley

Gay Central Valley and their Divisions (hereafter referred to as GCV), offers an internship program for students interested in gaining exposure and experience to the non profit industry. Internships are active throughout the year, offered during Spring (Jan-May), Summer (June-Aug) and Fall (Sept-Dec). Internships are offered to junior and senior students. All internships are unpaid and students must earn college credits by enrolling in an internship class.


Internship Requirements:

1. Students must be enrolled at a four-year or junior college and receive school credit for internship.

2. Students must be in junior or senior standing.

3. Students must be able to intern a complete semester term.

4. Students must have a minimum of 2.5 grade point average.

5. Students must be able to satisfy an average of 15 hours per week.

6. A letter of participation in an internship class from your school counselor/college advisor/professor.

7. Students are required to complete GCV time card on a weekly basis for tracking purposes and to be  
    submitted to the Volunteer Coordinator.

8. Students must provide an Internship Schedule of their availability on a weekly basis if possible.
