Gay Central Valley exists to educate, promote and sponsor educational and cultural events in California's Central Valley, such as regular educational gatherings of interest to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, their families, friends and supporters. The organzation operates websites as a resource and information hub for matters of interest to or concerning the LGBT community in the Central Valley. In addition, the organization will conduct outreach and provide workshops aimed at enhancing awareness of the Central Valley LGBT community, and thereby serve to reduce or eliminate prejudice and discrimination and to nourish respect for rights secured by law.
